Oral Health

Thrush, also known as Candidiasis, is a fungus found in the mouth, genitals, digestive tract and skin. In healthy people, the production of probiotic bacteria prevents the fungus from causing disease. People with a weak immune system are susceptible to the thrush fungus. Also, some prescription drugs can actually help cause the disease by weakening or eliminating the natural organisms in the body. Examples include extended use of antibiotics and antihistamines. Thrush is not limited to women.
